About Us

Grace Chocolates is a family run business comprised of patriarch and retired

engineer Jerry, matriarch and account executive Judy and son Joel, a seasoned graphic designer.

 

This blend of different skills and creativity has allowed Grace Chocolates to bring you products produced by a team of innovative thinkers with an attention to detail and love of the bean-to-bar chocolate making process.

This begins with a relationship between the communities of people and farms from where we purchase our cocoa beans, to the community of chocolate lovers that we have the great pleasure of connecting with through a common love and interest in bean-to-bar chocolate making.

 

Grace Chocolates was initially sparked when Jerry observed and became intrigued by the different processes and steps involved in handcrafting a bean-to-bar chocolate while visiting their son Joel, then living in Portland, Oregon. Jerry began in 2011, experimenting with different cocoa beans from different parts of the world and enjoying the surprising array of different natural flavors and nuances that came from working with a variety of single origin cocoa beans. After five years of experimenting with different beans from around the world and perfecting each step in the chocolate making process from roast times to tempering, he teamed up with his wife Judy and son Joel to create a brand, package and bring to you a variety of exquisite chocolates created from ethically grown and conditioned cocoa beans sourced from different regions around the world.

 

Our objective at Grace Chocolates is to bridge our communities, from the people who grow and prepare the cocoa beans in different regions of the world, to the people we meet, and enjoy our chocolates with as we grow.

 

We strive to present a variety of chocolates and products that deliciously display the diverse flavors and nuances that occur naturally from various cocoa beans being grown around the world.
